On this blessed day when the Christian world celebrates the birth of the Child Jesus,
Issa ibn Maryam, a symbol of love, peace, and mercy,
His Majesty, though of Muslim faith,
extends his fraternal and respectful wishes
to the entire Christian community of Africa and the world.
May Christmas be a time:
• of inner peace
• of strengthened faith
• of reconciliation among peoples
• of human solidarity
The Child Jesus, honored in Islam as a great Prophet of God,
reminds us that authentic religions share the same message:
to love, to protect life, and to serve humanity.
