*DECLARATION OF HIS MAJESTY*

*On the occasion of Africa Day – May 25, 2026*

*Tour de l’Afrique – Bamako*

May the Peace of God be upon us, upon Africa, and upon the great people of the world.

On this Africa Day, celebrated every 25th of May in memory of the creation of the Organisation of African Unity, now the African Union, I wish to address, on behalf of African Royalty, the Malian people, and the United Kingdoms of Africa, my fraternal greetings to all the peoples of the continent, as well as to our diaspora and our Afro-descendant brothers and sisters across the world.

Mali, land of the great African empires, faithful to its history and to its Pan-African commitment, proudly celebrates this symbolic day dedicated to the unity, dignity, and future of Africa.

Today more than ever, faced with the tensions shaking the world, the security crises in the Sahel, the suffering of civilian populations, the divisions, and the threats to the cohesion of our States, Africa must speak with one voice and return to its essential foundations: peace, living together, solidarity, and sovereignty.

No Nation can be built durably on hatred, violence, or division.

Peace remains our greatest wealth.

That is why we call for a collective mobilization of States, republican institutions, traditional and religious authorities, youth, women, intellectuals, artists, civil society, and international partners, to build a stable, strong Africa reconciled with itself.

Africa cannot fully succeed without its sons and daughters of the diaspora and without Afro-descendants.

We launch a call for *Come Back Africa*, a return to the motherland, not only physical, but also economic, cultural, scientific, and spiritual.

Africa needs all its intelligences, all its skills, and all its energies to take part in its reconstruction and development.

We also believe that African traditional authorities must fully regain their place in supporting modern States, in a spirit of complementarity with republican institutions.

Our traditional legitimacies are instruments of mediation, social cohesion, transmission of values, and stabilization of communities.

Through *MASSAKUNDA*, African Royalty at the Service of the People, we continue to carry a vision of African unity and integration based on concrete actions:

- An Africa without visas for Africans, where borders become bridges and not barriers;

- A reduction in the cost of intra-African flights to bring peoples closer;

- A lowering of cross-border fees to promote economic and human exchanges;

- Strengthened African cooperation at the service of the peoples.

This vision rests on five fundamental pillars:

- Environment and health;

- Training and employment;

- Peace and security;

- Self-sufficiency and food security;

- Education and culture.

Our ambition is clear: to build a strong, sovereign, united, prosperous, and respected Africa.

On this historic day, I invite every African woman and every African man to believe again in our continent, to overcome divisions, and to work together for future generations.

*AFRICA FOR AFRICANS.*

*Every person counts.*

Long live a united Africa.

Long live Mali.

Long live peace and living together.

His Majesty

*King Guide Bamba El Hadj Mahamed Sâanwi*

Mansa of Mali

Supreme Chief of the United Kingdoms of Africa (UKAF)
